What chiropractic techniques does Dr. Nassif use?
Dr. Nassif specializes in Activator technique which is a very gentle and thorough form of chiropractic care. He also manually adjusts patients when warranted (traditional chiropractic). Other techniques that Dr. Nassif employs include:
What kind of education does Dr. Nassif have?
Dr. Nassif has completed a four year doctorate of chiropractic program in addition to his undergraduate degree. He has taken national board exams similar to those required to be a medical doctor. Additionally Dr. Nassif has completed a three year master’s degree program in acupuncture including study in China.
What is a chiropractic treatment like?:
A typical first visit last approximately 1 hour and will consist of a brief consultation to ensure that the condition that treatment is being sought for can be helped with chiropractic care. Next a detailed examination will be performed including thorough orthopedic and neurological tests. Upon completion of the examination X-rays may be taken to help in the diagnosis of the patient’s condition. Dr Nassif will go over the findings and present a treatment plan. If chiropractic treatment is warranted, the initial treatment will be performed on that day.
A chiropractic treatment consists of gentle manipulation of the spine. It may also include soft tissue work, flexion and distraction, ultrasound, electric stimulation and/or other techniques. Dr. Nassif may also indicate specific exercises and recommendations to help your body to heal itself.
Do I have to come forever after I start?
How often you come is completely up to you. You know your body best and what it needs. We see people on a variety of schedules of their own choosing.
Does my insurance cover chiropractic?
Most major insurance companies cover chiropractic care as well as Medicare and Worker’s Compensation.
